Logging
Click on a part of the image to see a description, or scroll down to see a list:
- Automatically open logs for
- The window types that ViRC will automatically begin logging when a new window of that type is opened.
- Log filenames
- Template filenames used to open the log files. Use variables to fill in the name of the window being logged; for example, if the channel log is set to $C.log, the log for #virc will be called #virc.log. The variables are $server for server windows, $C for channel windows, and $nick for query and DCC chat windows. These messages may also contain function calls.
- Strip attributes from logs
- If checked, ViRC will remove attribute and color codes from the log files.
- Timestamp logs with format
- If checked, each line in the log will be prefixed with a timestamp. The format string can contain attribute codes and function calls; for example, [$time(hh:nn)] will produce 24-hour time surrounded by square brackets.
